Tom Shares His Thoughts
T-G-I- FRICKEN-F, Gang!!!!
This week has been one HELL of a week for me, so I am glad to see it go, and to move on to something bigger and better! I hope that you all have had a better week than I have, and are ready for the weekend as well.
It seems as though Tom has been enjoying his time in Canada, and has done a great job filling us in this far. I am sure that he is enjoying his time back in his home land, and that there are a lot of things for him to see and do while he is back in his homeland. Canada is a beautiful county, and if you check out Tom’s blog at www.tomgreen.com, you can check out many of the videos that he has on there showing various locations all throughout Canada. As a matter of fact, here’s something that Tom had to say about his trip so far:
I am sorry if I have been quiet on the blog. Honestly, I don’t know why. Why? I will say I have been having a great time on the set of Freezerburn. What an awesome movie this is going to be. I love it. We went out and shot some goofy webo-vision on the street today. But yes, it is true I have not been blogging. Thought I would just pop in and say hello.
I met some great folks on the street in Canada today. We were trying out our cool new wireless microphone. The thing that is funny, is if you stand across the street from the camera, we can do some pretty silly stuff. Meaning, we have our camera on one side of the street, but using amazing wireless microphone technology I can stand on the other side. Then the people you interview don’t immediately see the camera. They just see some weirdo talking into a microphone on the corner by himself. Amazing! So we are going to try that over the next couple of days. For some reason, just standing on a street corner in edmonton, with a wireless microphone, is funny to me. I started doing this little radio show on the corner this afternoon, but there is no cameraman there. Mike was across the street. The cars are passing through the frame bettween us. The zooms these days have stabilizers in em, so you can get pretty good shots. Especially on this awesome Canon HV20 Hd camera. I actually got this idea in a dream last night. The cars passing through the frame. So we gave it a quick go today. Fun with webovision.
So I am basically standing on the street corner, with a wireless electrovoice microphone. The best microphone for MOS, Man On The Street, BTW, By The Way. Anyway, (what kind of joke was that) Anyway… What was I saying…. Oh yes. So I am basically standing on the street corner by myself, and people are looking at me like I am completely nuts, and occasionally somebody passes by, and they are a huge national webovision fan, so we stop and chat. But it is fun as hell. This is all I am trying to say. We are standing on a street corner, doing candid camera, but with no joke. Pretty fun. What a great afternoon. Anyway folks, we will post some of this fun stuff tommorrow.
I am glad to see that he always thinks about us, his fans, as he is constantly posting new information for us to read. Plus, he is buying new equipment for the web show, which tells me that he is ready for bigger and better things for his show ( I think that we all are!). I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait until he is live again! I am anxious to see what the set will look like, what kind of technical upgrades he has created, etc. I am sure that they will all be great, and that everyone will be pleasantly surprised.
On a totally different note, our contest is STILL going on. To see what I am talking about, check it out here!
I hope that everyone has a great weekend! See you back here on Monday!
Until then, gang! Cheers!
